Work Description

Sidney Hutter’s work covers a wide range of sculptural glass techniques and images. Hutter works mainly with commercially available plate glass, which he alters through traditional techniques of cutting, grinding, polishing, drilling, laminating and sandblasting. The sculptures also incorporate complimentary materials such as metal and wood.

His sculptural glass works vary in scale from tabletop to floor and wall constructions. Design capabilities also include functional objects such as tables and lamps.

Prices for works begin at three thousand dollars, depending on scale, complexity and materials used. Hutter is willing to collaborate with architects and designers. Commissions require two to six months and prices do not include delivery or installation.

His work has been exhibited internationally and is in both public and private collections. Slides and résumés are available upon request.
